Rs24b project: CDA to build Islamabad Expressway from Zero Point to Rawat

ISLAMABAD: The Development Working Party of Capital Development Authority (CDA), in a meeting, has decided to build the Islamabad Expressway from Zero Point to Rawat on its own expenses.

The CDA-DWP consists of officials from the finance ministry, Planning Commission and the CDA. The initial report, which was presented by the consultant in the meeting, said that the total cost of the project would be around Rs24 billion.

The meeting decided to start the project as the CDA chairman said that the authority had the resources to build the signal-free highway without any funding from the federal government.
