Islamabad: May 11, 2015 Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed five (5) more houses in continuation of its indiscriminate operation against non conforming use and violations of building by-laws in different residential sectors of Islamabad. The operation was carried out by Enforcement and Building Control Section Directorate while Magistrate CDA and contingent of local police station also took part in the operation.
During recent operations, CDA has sealed house number 1 situated in street 27 of sector F-6 and house number 39 of College Road which were being used as showrooms in the name of Afghan Carpet. House number 3 of School Road, sector F-6/1 being used as showroom named LABELS was also sealed. Similarly, house no 34 situated at School Road in which business named Luna Capri was operational was also sealed by the CDA. During the operation house number 39 of Bhattai road which was used as beauty saloon named Beauty Hut was initially sealed however, later de-sealed due to stay order granted by the court which was presented during the operation.
Meanwhile, Enforcement Directorate demolished an illegally constructed boundary wall in sector G-9 and also confiscated three (03) trucks of encroachment material during anti-encroachment in Markaz F-10.
Member Administration and Estate, Amer Ali Ahmed has reiterated that Authority will make all out efforts to root out the non-conforming use of residential houses from the entire city. He directed to peruse the cases regarding non-conforming use in the relevant courts of law for early vacation of stay orders. He directed the concerned formations to further accelerate the operation against non- conforming use without any discrimination.
