ISLAMABAD: The housing foundation has decided to launch development works in F-14 and F-15 after making the appropriate payments to owners of built-up properties.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the executive committee of the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) on Thursday. Ministry of Housing and Works Secretary Shah Rukh Arbab, who is also chairman of the committee, presided over the meeting. The meeting took stock of the rate issue of built-up properties in these sectors and agreed that due compensation should be paid to the owners, after which development works should be launched at the earliest.
FGEHF Director General Waqas Ali Mehmood briefed the meeting on various housing schemes and progress in works. He said apart from F-14 and F-15, the rates issue of sectors G-14 (1, 2 and 3) would be resolved soon in the same way.
It was also decided during the meeting that the rights of allottees in the Bhara Kahu housing scheme would be protected. The discretionary quota in the allotment of plots should be abolished forthwith and a summary for the approval of the same would be sent to the prime minister, the meeting agreed.
